A new era began in 2023 when Gen3 Supercars were introduced to race in the Supercars Championship.

A significant evolution from the previous Gen2 platform, the Gen3 rules implemented a raft of changes for the Ford Mustang GT Supercar in 2023, with a large focus
on achieving a much closer visual connection to its road going counterpart, more controlled parts and less downforce to encourage greater racing.

Two-time Bathurst 1000 winner Will Davison and Dick Johnson Racing joined forces for their third season together racing in the Supercars Championship for 2023. Davisons #17 Shell V-Power Mustang carried the familiar red, white and yellow livery across the majority of the season which has become a mainstay for the team in recent years. With slight tweaks to suit the new Gen3 body shape, it continues to be one of the best looking liveries on the grid.

Come the endurance season, Davison was joined by brother Alex once again on co-driving duties, with this model replicating their 2023 Bathurst 1000 challenger to complete the team set from the Great Race with the sister #11 car and the #98 Wildcard car.
