The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 was an instant classic packed with all the drama, excitement and unpredictability that only Mount Panorama can deliver. From wild weather and multiple Safety Cars to bold strategy calls and a breathtaking finish, this years Great Race had it all.

Erebus Motorsport are no strangers to Bathurst heroics, having previously conquered The Mountain in 2017 and again in 2024. For 2025, the team returned with the crowd-favourite Chiko colours that famously took victory the year before. With rising stars Cooper Murray contesting his second Bathurst 1000 and debutant Jobe Stewart behind the wheel, the #99 Camaro was once again right in the fight for glory.

In treacherous, fast-changing conditions, the young pairing showed composure well beyond their experience. As the laps counted down, Murray found himself leading in a thrilling battle with James Golding. On lap 157, Golding made a daring move down the inside at Griffins Bend, tagging the Chiko Camaro and sending it towards the barriers. The move earned Golding a penalty, but heartbreakingly dropped the Erebus entry to fourth place in one of the most dramatic Bathurst finishes in recent memory.

While victory narrowly slipped away, a fourth-place result was still an outstanding achievement for the team and the #99 Chiko Camaro remains a fan favourite. This model will look perfect displayed alongside last years Bathurst-winning car.
