After qualifying 13th for The Great Race, James Golding and David Russell charged through the field in the #31 PremiAir Racing Camaro, crossing the line first before ultimately celebrating a well-earned third place on the podium.

Golding led the field across the finish line by just 0.96 seconds ahead of Matthew Payne and Garth Tander, having seized the lead on the final lap in a thrilling late-race duel. A five-second time penalty for an earlier move while having a crack at the lead in a thrilling battle with Cooper Murray racing the #99 Chicko Camaro saw the duo officially classified third but that didnt take away from a standout performance in a race that will rank among one of the best ever at the mountain.

While the outright win narrowly slipped away, the result was still one to remember the first Bathurst 1000 podium for both Golding and PremiAir Racing, and the third for the experienced Russell.
